  • Deposits are non-refundable.

    You may reschedule your session with at least 30 days’ notice prior to your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable once within the reasonable rescheduling time frame. Please note: Rescheduling within your 30–36 week pregnancy window does not guarantee availability due to limited spots.

    Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to your scheduled appointment, deposit will be forfeited. If you booked a last-minute appointment and need to cancel less than 48 hours before your session, deposit will be forfeited.

    If you go into labor early or face a medical emergency, we completely understand. In this situation, your deposit will be refunded or, if you prefer, can be applied towards another session. for example, a 'Mommy & Baby' session! In this situation please contact us: contact@mothermold3d.com

  • We highly recommend booking your Mother Mold session early-ideally between 13-19 weeks of pregnancy. As spots may fill up quickly, Booking in advance helps ensure you are able to secure your appointment between the dates best recommended (30-36 weeks) during your pregnancy! These sessions are one-of-a-kind and time sensitive, and spots can fill up quickly!

  • Ideal timing is between 30–36 weeks of pregnancy. After 36 weeks there is a chance you may go into labor. If you are expecting twins, the best time to shoot with Mother Mold is between 28- 33 weeks!

  • Mother Mold is a fully mobile service — we bring the scanning experience to you! While we don’t have a physical studio just yet, we’re based in New Orleans and proudly serve clients throughout the South & beyond. Whether it’s in the comfort of your home or another location that feels special to you, we’ll come to you and handle everything needed for your session.

  • No fancy setup needed — just a clean, private space with soft, natural lighting (like near a window with curtains). A plain wall or simple background is ideal, and we’ll need enough room to move around you. We bring everything else!

  • Our 3D scanner uses structured light technology, which means it projects a pattern of safe, invisible infrared light onto your body and captures how that light deforms over your curves and contours.

    Think of it like a super advanced camera that sees depth and texture, not just flat images. Unlike a photo, this 3D model lets us create sculptures that perfectly replicate your body’s unique form, down to the smallest details like the shape of your belly button or stretch marks!

  • Yes! Our 3D scanning process is completely safe for both mom and baby. It uses structured light technology, which projects gentle, invisible infrared light patterns onto the body- similar to the light from a TV remote or a digital camera’s autofocus lamp.

  • No! The scanner does not emit harmful radiation or dangerous EMFs. It uses only low-intensity, eye-safe light and operates well within government safety standards. Unlike smartphones or WiFi routers, it does not emit wireless signals or radio waves. The electromagnetic exposure is significantly lower than everyday devices and is more comparable to a small digital camera!

  • No, the scanner does not physically touch your skin. It uses invisible light patterns projected from our small handheld device to capture your body shape from a short distance. The process is completely non-contact and comfortable!

  • We have two option of sticker dots that may be used—if used, a latex free option is offered. all stickers are Gentle and easy to remove!

  • For best results, wearing minimum or no undergarments works best! If you’d prefer clothing, seamless nude underwear is best recommended. If you would rather your nipples to now show- nipple covers could work but note, we are able to smooth out nipples in post-production as well.

  • Sessions shouldn't take more than an hour! Before we begin the scan session, we’ll walk you through all design options, and you’ll get to see finished examples to help you decide what material and size for your sculpture feels right.

    Once we finish, we’ll prepare for your scan. We will guide you through different poses. you’ll get to decide which pose you love most.

    Remember once sculpture is finalized we never take away meaningful details: nipples, dimples, and scars— the features that make your body unique and powerful!

  • No — there’s no need to choose anything upfront! We go over the final design in our session together.

  • Absolutely! We welcome all woman to book with Mother Mold- whether you're pregnant or not. Every body deserves to be honored and remembered! We also honor dad and baby sessions as well. If theres any special request, contact us!

  • At Mother Mold, each sculpture is crafted with care and intention. While we aim to deliver within 4–6 weeks, our small team may face delays due to high demand. Thanks for your patience- we’re working hard to create your piece with the attention it deserves. if you have any questions please contact us!

  • each sculpture is a unique piece of mother mold’s artwork. mother mold may share images of sculptures for promotional purposes anonymously, unless you’ve requested otherwise. sculptures will never be sold to anyone other than the client. No identifying information will be included without your permission. if you prefer your sculpture to not be showcased, please reach out to us with a written statement at contact@mothermold3d.com

  • Mother Mold securely retains your 3D scan for up to 12 months from your initial appointment. Within this period, you can reorder your sculpture in a different material or make additional copies without needing a new scan. After 12 months, scans are permanently deleted unless you request an extension in writing.

  • By purchasing a gift card, the value can be applied toward the full price of a sculpture. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

    Mother Mold offers a variety of styles at different prices; we cannot guarantee that a gift card will cover the entire cost of a service. On the day of the session, we will guide the recipient through selecting their material and finish. The gift card amount will be applied to the final price, and any remaining balance will be charged in-person at the session.

    Please note: a $175 deposit is collected when booking an appointment and will be applied toward any material and finish options the client selects for their sculpture. The coupon code provided with the gift card must be entered at checkout when booking the appointment and will be applied toward the session balance. This code is valid for one-time use only under the email address used to purchase the gift card.
